"We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the avarice began to take hold."
There is a green lantern comic where Larfleeze wrecks havoc across Las Vegas, and I instantly imagined this when I read that. Sure with lantern powers Larfleeze can fly at supersonic speeds, but I'm sure that Glomulus, as his energy construct, advised that he rent a very fast car with no top. I had a lot of fun coloring the orange lantern acapulco shirts, and yes, those ARE batman symbols in the sky

This is a page from my sketchbook cropped and colored. It still makes me giggle to think of making an entire comic based on this.
Glomulus, Larfleeze, and Batman are Copyright DC comics
It's always a surreal pleasure to watch (or read) Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. For me it is as outlandish as it is alluring. I think this is a beautiful tribute to both Hunter S. Thomson and Ralph Steadman. The warm colour scheme in this picture is gorgeous. Using Batman's logo as hallucinogenic bats is brilliantly creative. I love how you where able to mimic Steadman's peculiar style of detailed malformed characters. All while ensuring that both Larfleeze and Glomulus where recognizable to fans of the Green Lantern series.
He'd probably through a room party with all of his constructs, in a nearby hotel, and tell everybody nearby that they aren't invited.
This is outstanding
XD
this is bat country...
